32606. Orm* ÅMUNDSSON Byre⁽⁸³⁴⁾⁽⁸⁸²⁾⁽⁷⁶⁷⁾ was born about 1515 in Byre gård #16, Fister, Rogaland, Norway. He died in 1601 in Byre gård #16, Fister, Rogaland, Norway. Orm Åmundsson was one of the best known and wealthiest men in Ryfylke in the last half of the 1500's. He appears to have been from the island of Byre in Finnøy parish and was probably living there in 1563. Byre belonged to a noble family, so Orm was leasing it from them. However, he owned a considerable amount of land around Ryfylke, including Stokka in Vats. Orm was named at Stokka in 1591, but was back at Byre in 1599. He was one of the 12 lagrettemenn who chose the area's representives to the coronation of King Christian IV. Children were:

iii. Ånon ORMSSON Byre⁽⁸⁷⁸⁾⁽⁹¹⁶⁾⁽⁷⁶⁶⁾⁽⁷⁶⁷⁾ was born about 1545 in Byre gård #16, Fister, Rogaland, Norway. He died before 1589 in Marvik, Jelsa, Norway.
