Tennessee Civil Districts The undersigned commissioners having been appointed by the Legislature to lay off the County of Greene into districts for the purpose of electing Justices of the Peace and Constables therein, after being sworn according to the Act of Assembly, proceeded to make the following divisions----- No. 1 Beginning on the South bank of Nolachuckey River at Washington County line, thence down the river to the mouth of Camp Creek, thence with JONES and WILHOITES FENCE to the road thence with the road through KELLYS GAP to the mouth of the Dry Fork of Camp Creek. Thence up said fork to the head, Thence to the top of the mountain, Thence with the State line to the corner of Washington County—Thence with said County to the beginning. The Election to be held at the house of JACOB BROYLES No. 2 Beginning at the mouth of Camp Creek Thence down the river to the mouth of Cove Creek, Thence up said creek to the Warm Spring road, Thence with said road to BROYLES,S ROAD, Thence with said road to BROYLES’S HOUSE, Thence following said road to the state line, thence with the State line to the corner of No. 1, Thence with a line of said division down the dry fork of Camp Creek to the mouth. Thence with the road to the top of the mountain, Thence with the State line to PAINTED ROCK, Thence with COCKE COUNTY line to the mouth of OVEN CREEK, Thence up the river to the beginning----The Election to be at the house of JOHN NEESE No. 4 Beginning at the county line below the mouth of LICK CREEK, Thence up the river to the mouth of the branch between JACOB BEWLEYS and RAGANS—Thence up said branch to the path leading into the road near CAPT JOHN BIBLES, Thence up the road to his gate, Thence with the lane between SCRUGGS and ABRAHAM BIBLES, Thence pursuing the road to KITCHENS MILL, crossing below said mill and with the road to the fork near JOHN HAUNS, Thence with the RUSSELLVILLE road to the county line. OLD PLACE and WASHINGTON ETTERS to the KENTUCKY road, Thence with said road to the crossroads at DYKES SHOP.
