In the name of God Amen I ABRAHAM MILLER of Platte County State of Mifsouri being of strong mind but weak in body do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) first it is my will that my funeral Expenses and all my juzt debts be paid.

I also wish for my body to be placed in a plain walnut coffin (and the same burial is crossed out)

Secondly I give devize and bequeath to my beloved wife (Nancy Ann Miller is crossed out) MARY MILLER all my Real and personal property during her natural life with the exception of one feather bed and furniture one cow and calf and one horse beast worth forty dollars To my daughter NANCY ANN MILLER also To my Daughter MALINDA MILLER the same

Thirdly and after the death of my beloved Wife as aforesaid I wish and request DAVOID NICOL and JEFSE MILLER of the County aforesaid or two other good men impartially to divide all my (personally cross out) property both real and personally equally between my six Children (viz) STEPHEN MILLER, JOHN Q MILLER, ELYTT MILLER, SARAH MC CORD, MALINDA MILLER, NANCY ANN MILLER.

I also wish my beloved wife to Settle all my Just debts without any Administration Given under my Hand and Seal this 18th day of January in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and fifty One

On this the 21st day of May 1852 before me JAMES KUYKRENDALL, Judge of the Probate Court for Platte County aforesaid, personally appeared, THOMAS KIMSEY and DAVID T. KIMSEY, two subscribing witnefses to the last will and testament of ABRAHAM MILLER deceased, and being by me duly sworn, say that they saw the testator ABRAHAM MILLER sign the foregoing, which he published as his last will and testament he the said testator was at the time of sound mind as common and over twenty one years old, and that they attested said will as witnefses thereto, by subscribing their names to the same in the presence of the testator which proof is deemed by me sufficient to establish said will. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto signed my name and opproved the seal of said court at office this 21st day of May A D 1852 JAMES KUYKENDALL, JUDGE P.C.

The death date is taken from the account of Abraham Miller with PAXTON & CALLAHAN of 1851. On the 2nd page, date given for transaction Mar 27, 1852 6 yds Tacomr? for shroud $3.00; 8 yds blck muslin 16-1/3 $1.33; 3 yds doilling 16-2/3 $.50 cents; 1 pr hose .25; 1 pr gloves .$25; 2-1/4 yds MUSLIN FOR COFFIN .37 cents; 1 paper tacks $.10 $5.80; 3 yds domestic .30 cents; Back in those days they buried their own and usually the same day or the next day. All of these supplies clearly show they were going to bury an individual.

Another indication that Abraham was ill is noted in the account with James M. Davis - who must have been a doctor 1851 Farley Mo account of Abraham Miller to Stiles Burres & Brothers Dec 5 medicine for order .50 do do .25

And now at this day comes the said Executrix and files the receipt in full of all the above distributees of their full share of said estate.
