| The 1990 US Census shows the Polish ethnic population belt that runs from Northeast Minnesota along the lower Great Lakes to the Atlantic coast line. The heart of the population being the Wisconsin, Michigan, Chicago, IL area, and Buffalo, NY area.

A percentage figure has been added to the raw numbers to provided a weighted figure for comparison of this group. Some interesting points are: (1) The number of Polish born grew rapidly from 1870 untl 1930 going from 14,436 to 1,268,583 Polish nationals in US.
