Table of Month Names in Polish, Latin, OCS, Ukrainian, Russian and German.
by Mike Szelog

December 2001

Preliminary comments and conventions about this table:

Latin: Need to be wary of abbreviations using "7ris, 8ris, 9ris, 10ris". One would be tempted to think July, August, September and October, but the abbreviations are from the Latin names - hence it's really Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec they're refering to here!

OCS: 8 = the letter that looks like it - a "u" sound. 6 = hard sign. All of the "v"'s except the last three months are written with =a letter that looks like our v. The "w" in Oct. looks like the Greek letter omega and is an "o" sound. All i are actually double dotted i in OCS.

OCSD and Russian: With the Russian and OCSD forms, there are some variations, but most are recognizable.
