My dear Dr. Thompson,
As requested I enclose a proof of your address, and also, of what I thought
of saying about the reunion.
Please correct your address, and criticise my brief notes, adding any suggestions for additions or omissions that may occur to you.
I am very much in doubt about the conclusions reached by the genealogist whom I employed in New York. Indeed, I think we shall yet find that Thomas Aten and Elsie Schillman were the father & mother of Adrian of Readington. I have no doubt, however, that Thomas, John, & Paul Aten, were the sons of Adrian Hendrickse & Elisabeth Thomas. I think I am safe my statement about the Albertson’s ˆ as well as the Aten’s having children baptised in all the Dutch Churches along the Raritan. Am I not?
How many pamphlets may I send you?
I presume you have returned to your home ----
