James 'Jimmie' WOOD and Martha MILLER

	James WOOD, a Christian Church preacher, was born in NC and married 
Martha MILLER probably in GA where she was born.  Reece Connection, 
by Willard and Woodrow Reece relates, 'James and Martha had long been 
friends, neighbors and traveling companions of John and Mary Reece.' They 
probably migrated through TN and KY and were in the Bloomington, Monroe Co. 
IN area possibly as early as 1817/1824 when two James WOOD bought land.
	Two of their daughters, Elizabeth and Isabella (mother of Gracy 
TREAT in above FGR) were married in Hendricks Co. IN in the 1830s, but the 
family had moved on to Pulaski Co./Wright Co. MO by 1840 where they are 
found on Woods Fork of the Gasconade River.  Some of their other children 
may have been Zachriah, John, Alf, Martha, Mary, Willie, and Cynthia. 
James and Martha and their younger children are found in 1850 in Searcy Co. 
AR.
	In the Jackson A. WOOD family Bible, there is a death record for a 
Martha Wood, and I believe it refers to the wife of James. James may be
connected somehow with a Martin WOOD, 'overage,' in 1840 Morgan Co. IN.
A Martin WOOD is also found near James in Pulaski Co. MO. Additionally,
James WOOD seems to be associated with a TEAGUE family.
