Turner HAGGARD and Martha OLIVER
Turner was the son of John Haggard and his wife Anna Hix who were
originally from Surry Co. NC and migrated to Jackson Co. GA, then to
Roane Co. TN, where they died. Martha Lucinda Oliver was the daughter
of James Oliver and Rachel Holman were born in Kentucky, their parents
having been early settlers brought in by Boone. They spent some time
in Vermillion Co. IN before coming to Missouri. Several of Turner's
brothers and sisters also came to Taney Co. MO from Roane Co. TN.
After Martha died, Turner married Rebecca (Allen) Compary/Compierre.
