We can identify some of these persons, so email us if you have a question about them.  Some are descendants of William Thomas Mullens through his sons Thomas Mullens and James Mullens.  At least one, S./Shep/Shepard Mullens was a slave of J.H. (James Henry) Mullens who was the son of James.  The names of other slaves of some of these families have been identified.  It is an ongoing project to identify others and to work with their descendants.
