His [Johann Daniel's] successor is his nephew Johann Andreas Kranzbühler. When he dies in 1866, the Kranzbühler are not only established as book printers and publishers in Worms but by now also in the Palatine cities of Speyer, Zweibrücken and Neustadt/Pf.
Already some time before his death, Johann Andreas sends for his nephew Eugen, son of Johann Daniel Kranzbühler. He introduces him to the business since he is supposed to inherit it.
