- Eva F. Bates (b. 8/26/1864 OH) who m. Charles F. Miller in 1883 in Allen Co., Ohio - last known residence: Washington, D.C. in 1923. Their children were: Inez B. Miller (b. abt 1885 - single in 1930), Charles F. Miller (b. abt 1895 in OH), Marion B. Miller (b. abt 1899 in OH).
- Mame/Marian Bates (b. 12/1866 or 12/1867 OH) who m. William H. Jones in 1893 in Allen Co., Ohio. She had 1 child who died young.
- Descendants of Gustaf Nilsson/Gustave Nelson (b. 11/21/1849 in Bassholma - Tåssjö parish, Kristianstad län, Sweden) and Assarina Petersdotter/Anna Nelson (b. 10/2/1852 in Sjunkamåsa - Rya parish, Kristianstad län, Sweden). They came to the US in 1880 and 1882 respectively with the following 3 children and lived on Snediker Avenue in Brooklyn, NY
- Karl Frithiof "Charlie" Nelson b. 2/15/1873 in Tåssjö parish (Kristianstad län, Sweden) [from whom I descend] married Gertrude Renshaw.
- Selma Nelson b. 4/18/1875 in Tåssjö parish (Kristianstad län, Sweden). She married Clarence Williams and lived in Brooklyn, NY in 1920, 1930. They had the following children: Emory Williams (b. abt 1899), Selma Williams (b. abt 1907), Clarence Williams (b. abt 1911), Albin Williams (b. abt 1913), and Robert Williams (b. abt 1919).
- Nils Peter Johan "John" Nelson b. 6/12/1877 in Tåssjö parish
- Another daughter, Emma Nelson, was born in NY in December of 1888. She married Frank Richards and was living in Brooklyn, NY in 1920 and Garden City, NY in 1930. They had children: N. Richard Richards (or Edward N. Richards) (b. abt 1911) and Emily M. Richards (b. abt 1915).
