Thanks for coming to look at my website - I hope you find it interesting. To start with, here's a brief summary of the families I'm researching, with links to my grandparents' family information pages:

BARTLE Ancestors of my grandfather Arthur BARTLE (1886-1954), mostly from the Leeds and Bradford area of Yorkshire (West Riding), but some from Hull (East Riding) and London. Surnames include BARTLE, BELFIELD, BILTON, CRAVEN, FIRTH, KELLETT, METCALF and ROBINSON.

KENNEDY Ancestors of my grandfather David Campbell KENNEDY (1878-1957); surnames in this line include KENNEDY, CAMPBELL and RUTHERFORD from the northern part of Perthshire, Scotland; and HARCOURT and GIBSON from Co. Armagh, Ireland (now Northern Ireland).

RUTTER Ancestors of my grandmother Nora Emily RUTTER (1888-1946); among the surnames in this line are RUTTER, CAMPION, MEABURN, METCALFE, MEYNELL (also spelt MENNILL), PALLISER and SHIPLEY, mostly from the central part of the North Riding of Yorkshire and Co. Durham.

STOW Ancestors of my grandmother Florence Ann STOW (1886-1970); this line is from the West Riding of Yorkshire. Surnames include STOW, HUTCHINSON and EMMOTT (Kildwick); WATSON and WILKINSON (Bingley); HIRST (Pontefract area); WHEATLEY and EELES (Lower Wharfedale area).

However, I'm still working on these and have some information which hasn't yet been uploaded. Other future plans include census extracts and pictures, where these are available, and more articles for the Miscellany section.

The Sources page gives an overview of where I have carried out research into my family. Some of my information has come from other people, and I'm grateful to them for sharing it with me. However, I'm only human, so it's quite possible that some mistakes have crept in somewhere along the line. If you find any, I'd be pleased to hear from you.
