Alice Anne's Dise Geneology Page
My grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Dise, born in Germany on June 12, 1872. She had three older brothers, George, John,and Henry, and three younger brothers, Adam Christian Gotleib, William, and Harry. The family came to the United States when she was nine years old. I believe that their original surname was DEISS, but it was changed either at the time of their immigration through a spelling error, or on purpose to help Americans pronounce it correctly. From what I've been told, some of the famlily members have gone back to the DEISS spelling.
