Rogers, possibly descended from Thomas Rogers of the original Mayflower who died that first winter in 1620/1621 but through a son who remained in England until the mid 1620s.

Rogers were Quakers until exiled for having a child "too soon" after marriage and then became Methodists. Primary occupation was carpentry and working on steamboats.
