Edward⁶ Skillings (Capt John⁵, Edward⁴, Josiah³, John², Thomas¹) (#4303) was born in Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, ME 6 Nov 1771.⁽²⁷⁵⁸⁾ Edward died 30 Apr 1801 in Scarborough, Cumberland, ME, at 29 years of age.⁽²⁷⁵⁹⁾ From Black Point Parish (Scarborough, Maine) Record of Deaths 1795-1873, FHL Film 0012231, Item 41:

"Edward Skillin died. He fell from the yardarm of a vessel hurt his stomach broke his jaw in three places the consumption violently took place 6 weeks and three days from the time was hurt to his death. he was in the 30th year of his age left three children died at Maj. Hardy's."

He married Susannah Trickey 29 Nov 1792.⁽²⁷⁶⁰⁾ (Susannah Trickey is #4307.) Susannah was born 1772 in Hiram, Oxford Co, ME.⁽²⁷⁶¹⁾ Susannah was the daughter of Zebulon Trickey Jr and Rebecca Skillings. Libby No. 10-8-4-4
