He married Mary E. Morrill 15 Aug 1852.⁽⁴⁶⁶⁹⁾ (Mary E. Morrill is #3655.) Mary was born in Portland, Cumberland, ME.⁽⁴⁶⁷⁰⁾ Libby No. 5-7-15-9

Abstract from The Libby Family in America by C.T. Libby, pp 67-68:

Nathan (Libby) m 15 Aug 1852, Mary E. Morrill of Portland. He was brought up by his mother and Joshua Plummer and really derived his surname from her; but rather than give him the broken number, 1??-5-3-a, which he must have had, it seems preferable to the compiler to place him in his true descent. He was a stevedore in Portland awhile, and later an engineer on the Grand Trunk Railway. He was afterward a sailor for many years and died in the Homeopathic Hospital in New York 19 Jul 1881. His wife was divorced from him and removed to Charlestown, MA where she married again. Their children, b Portland:

1. Georgianna m ? Thompson of Charlestown 2. Ida m ??? of Charlestown 3. Charles, b abt 1860 a sailor

1874 ii. Ida Libby (#3658) was born in Portland, Cumberland, ME c1856.⁽⁴⁶⁷³⁾ She married he (Libby).⁽⁴⁶⁷⁴⁾ (he (Libby) is #3659.)

1875 iii. Charles Libby (#3660) was born in Portland, Cumberland, ME 1860.⁽⁴⁶⁷⁵⁾ Occupation: sailor.⁽⁴⁶⁷⁶⁾
