Albert died Jan 1893 in Gray, Cumberland, ME, at 74 years of age.(4865) died at home age 75y /Obit-census recs; Alan Lundstedt and Tom Henley say he d 1887; however, they are confusing him with his twin Alfred.... He married Helen Marie Mayberry in Gray, Cumberland, ME, 27 Dec 1857.(4867) intentions 2 Dec 1857 (Helen Marie Mayberry is #1148.)
Helen was born 10 Oct 1836 in West Gray, Cumberland, ME.(4868) age 24y in 1860 USC Gray, Cumberland, ME; age 33y in 1870 USC Gray, Cumberland, ME; age 48y in 1880 USC Helen was the daughter of Daniel Mayberry and Rebecca Foster.

Helen was listed as the head of a family on the 1860 Census in Gray, Cumberland, ME.(4871) listed with husband and one child, brother-in-law, and Ebenezer Hodgkin
Helen was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census in Gray, Cumberland, ME.(4872) Notes from Ethel Quimby's files - no documentation:
William1 Mayberry m Bathesheba Dennis of Windham; Thomas2 Mayberry m Bethia Spear of Windham; Richard3 Mayberry m Miriam Thompson; Daniel4 Mayberry m Rebecca Foster (Miriam and Rebecca buried in Gray).
I cannot prove that Helen M. Mayberry Skilling is the daughter of Daniel4 of this line, but the following facts lead me to believe it is so:
1. Catherine Wentworth Parlin was told by her mother, Eleanor Skilling Wentworth, that Helen was from Dry Mills. (Note: John and Eleanor are children of Albert and Isabella Skilling).
2. Yvonne Skilling Wilkinson was told by her father, John Skilling, that Helen was from Dry Mills and that the Mayberry Road there was named for her family.
3. Both the 1857 map (the year Helen was married (pub 27 Dec 1857)) and the 1871 map of Gray show only one Mayberry owning land in Dry Mills and that is Daniel. Daniel's property was located on what is now the Mayberry Road.
4. From Early Marriages and Publishments in Gray, ME 1788-1855, p 22 - Mr. Daniel Mayberry and Miss Rebecca Foster both of Gray (pub 5 Dec 1830).
5. One Ellen (sic) M. Mayberry, 14, was living with Isaac Foster (age 80) when the 1850 census was taken. Helen was born in 1836 (according to her gravestone) (Note: actually, d 1909 only date on stone).
6. Helen's grandson's middle name was Laforest. The name occurs elsewhere in this line and is quite common to this area.
Ethel, plan to check 1840 census when I get to Portland again. Daniel and Rebecca lost 5 children in 1843, that's probably why Helen would be with grandfather Isaac. Very few records of Isaac Foster, Jr. in Gray. I'm trying to piece together his family. (Note- I don't know who wrote this letter to Ethel Quimby)
