Abstract from Family Records of Mark E. Hooge:

Wilhelmina Hooge and August Karl Buchholz

I think that Wilhelmina is Wilhelm's younger sister and therefore, Anna and Gottfried's oldest daughter. Wilhelmina and August share the same headstone with Wilhelm, Maria and Frank Hooge in Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT.

August Karl Buchholz was born August 21, 1874 in Kappen, Ostpruessen (E. Prussia). Wilhelmina Hooge was born March 13, 1876 in Bochum, Prussia. August Buchholz and Wilhelmina Hooge married on August 21, 1894 in Bochum, Amalienrich, Ostpreussen. They emigrated to New Britain, CT in April 1901 on the Southwark out of Antwerp Belgium. Source on this is a posting on genweb page by Arlene Brown Ackerman.

Wilhelmina and August Buchholz had 4 children:

Augusta Buchholz, born August 20, 1898 in Prussia, died January 1982, buried Fairview Cemetery in New Britain, CT. Don't believe she married or had children, because she is buried with Wilhelmina and August with her maiden name and also signed your grandfather's funeral book as "Augusta Buchholz."

Richard Buchholz, born September 4, 1899 in Prussia, died February 1979.

William Edward Buchholz, born May 21, 1901 in America, died February 5, 1985 in Branford, CT. Married to Emma Essel. I have more information on their children and grandchildren.

George A. Buchholz….no information on him except his name in Edward Rudolph Hooge's funeral book, listed as from Pacific Palisades, CA. Funeral book also included Richard, William and Augusta.
