40. John³ Ayer III (John², Capt John¹ Ayers) (#15515) was born in Haverhill, Essex, MA 18 Mar 1647/8.⁽²³¹⁾ John died 19 Jul 1683 at 35 years of age.⁽²³²⁾ NEHGS Reg V 17, pp 307-310 says bef 23 Sep 1683; however, Perley says 19 Jul 1683.

He married Mary (Ayer).⁽²³³⁾ NOTE: Perley says her name was Mary (?); NEHGS says prob unmarried (Mary (Ayer) is #23140.) Abstract from NEHGS Reg: Vol. 17, pp 307-310:

John 3, son of John2 Ayer, died no doubt unmarried, as on 23 Sep 1683, his father presented his inventory (NEHGS Reg XV:331 lines 11-18).

Abstract from Ayer Genealogy by Perley, p 6:

John3, b 18 Mar 1647/8; lived in Andover, being deceased 19 Jul 1683; prob m Mary _____, and had a son Samuel d at Andover 5 Sep 1670.

John Ayer III and Mary (Ayer) had the following child:
