It states that Joseph and Bertha have been married for two years, that Cyril is their first child, Joseph was born in WV, his father in Germany, his mother in WV, that English was their language, that Joseph's occupation was a meter reader, both husband and wife could read and write, that Bertha was born in Ohio, as were her parents, and the family rented the house they lived in. It also states that their son Cyril was born in WV.

"Cy" Ackermann, former station manager of WTRF-FM, died today in Wheeling Hospital, at the age of 69. A resident of 30 Walnut Avenue, Wheeling, he was born Sept. 7, 1909, in Wheeling, son of the late Joseph A. and Bertha Watson Ackerman. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Wheeling Country Club, Radio and Television Club of Pittsburgh, Ohio Valley Senior Golf Association, and the Virginia's Senior Golf Association. He joined WTRF-Radio in 1959, moving to WTRF-TV in 1953 as account executive, and was promoted to TV regional sales manager in 1945. He was named TV national sales manager in 1962; he became station manager of WTRF-FM-Stereo and CATV relations manager in 1969 and retired from WTRF in February 1970. He served as former advertising and public relations director for Wheeling Dollar Bank for six years. He was preceded in death by a brother, George A. Ackermann, in 1977. Surviving are his wife, Delora Thomas Ackermann; three nephews, Russell of Idaho Falls, Idaho, David of Wheeling and Michael Ackermann of St. Clairsville. Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Michael's Church. His remains were donated to The West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wheeling Hopsital Building Fund or the American Cancer Society, Ohio County, Unit.
