In May of
1997, the
U.S.
Biographies project was organized by Jeff Murphy, using the
established
KY Biographies Project
as a model. State coordinators were sought to set up their own state
project.
They were offered the system design and tools created for the KY
project,
but were free to set up their project in any way they chose.
Volunteers
are needed
to enter, edit, and archive the biographies for the Arkansas
project.
My name is Annette
Bame Peebles and I am the coordinator for the Arkansas Biographies
page. If you would like to volunteer for this project, please let
me know, or if you would like to volunteer to do a county, please let
me
know.
If you wish
to volunteer
to assist in entering or editing biographies for a particular state,
please
contact the state coordinator for that state. If you wish to become a
