Harold Dean "H" Satterwhite, 77, of Conway died Wednesday (Nov. 21, 2001) at his home.
Born July 31, 1924, in Centerville, he was a son of James A. Satterwhite and Ida Ann Spears Satterwhite. He was a retired contractor and a member of Central Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed crappie fishing and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Ida M. Satterwhite of Conway; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bill Cossey of Lynbrook, N.Y., Patti and Jerry Reynolds of Conway and Phyllis and Richard Kennedy of Conway; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kay Satterwhite of Conway; two sisters, Essie Walter of Perkins, Okla., and Julie Lively of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with the Rev. Don Chandler and the Rev. James Walter officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris and Keith Nicholson, Chad and Matt Reynolds, Jon and Josh Kennedy, Taylor and Payton Satterwhite.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck, Spencer, Grant, Zack and Brett Clawson, Bernard Cotton, Royce Shumate and Gary Greene.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of Mike Satterwhite. |

Mr. Shaw was born Feb. 10, 1934, in Gainesville, Mo., to Robert Ace Shaw and Alta Mearle Farmer Shaw.
He was the former owner of Southern Plastics Sign Co. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He loved woodworking, music and singing, traveling, and especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Shaw; and a great-grandchild, Yashua Forness.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Shaw of Conway; daughters, Mitzi Reynolds and David, Alicia Troutman and Gary, Rebecca Lewis and Bill, Dedi Schall and Chris, all of Conway; sons, Rob Shaw and Dwaine Shaw, also of Conway; grandchildren, Heath Lewis, Brock Forness, Aaron Reynolds and wife, Jessyca, Ericka Mauldin, Amanda Johnson, Jeremy Shaw, Alana Forness, Lauren Reynolds, Lance Johnson, Kayla Johnson, Kelsey Troutman, Wesley Schall, Cody Lewis, and Alix Schall; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Reynolds; siblings, Glen Shaw of Springfield, Mo., Robert Shaw of Nixa, Mo., Maxine Shanerman of Gainesville, Mo., and Letty Moss of LaCenter, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Long officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
Pallbearers are Lance Johnson, Jeremy Shaw, Aaron Reynolds, Bill Lewis, Chris Schall and Gary Troutman. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Sullivan Johnnie Williams, J.
