| Name* | Possibly Paulina Vann (Ball). Listed in 1880 census at age34. Helen Reynolds - I remember Aunt Pauline and Uncle George so well. She was a very intelligent and educated in many ways. She could tell you about any baseball team you wanted to know about, who played what position, scores, etc. She had a quilting rack in her ceiling which I had never seen before. Before I came to Arkansas I was told everyone went barefooted and dipper snuff (whatever that was). Would you believe the first person I ever saw do that was Aunt Pauline - a woman!! She came to our house on Booker St. one time and I gave her a green bean can to use for her snuffing. |
