Edwin married Kate Liversidge on 5 June 1900 in Swinton . He was a miner aged 20. His father was also a miner and resident at 8 Station Street. Kate was aged 19. Edwin made his last will on 29 September 1941 when he was resident at 8 Station Street, Swinton. He appointed his wife, Kate, and Cyril Bailey of Wortley Avenue, Swinton, Yorkshire as his executors. After all his debts and funeral expenses had been paid he left his estate to his wife as sole benefactor. Witnesses were Roderick Scholey of 12 Broomwell Street, Swinton and H. E. Kate LIVERSIDGE (1880 - 1965)

She was born in 1880 in Swinton. (Based on age at death on MI Dean Ardron + 1881 Census) She was the daughter of Alfred and Emily (nee Davis) Liversidge. (1881 Census) GRO REF??

On the 1881 Census (3 April) Kate was aged 8 months, living with her parents , three brothers and one sister at 20 Charles Street, Swinton. (PRO ref RG11 piece 4682 folio 111 pg 26)

On the 1891 Census (5 April) Kate was aged 10, living with her parents (Alfred, a potter (55), Emily (45)), 4 brothers (Fred (23), Alfred (21), Henry (9), Ernest (7)) and one sister (Minnie (16)) at 58 Fitzwilliam Street, Swinton. (PRO ref RG12 piece ?? folio ?? pg ??)

Kate died on 5 December 1965 aged 85 years and is buried in Swinton . (MI Dean Ardron) This agrees with a GRO index entry. (GRO ref Rother V. 2c 735 Dec 1965 - very blurry)

On the 1901 Census (31 March) he was aged 6 months, living with his parents at 52 Charles Street, Swinton. (PRO ref RG13 piece 4402 folio 41 page 28) 

Cyril died shortly after the 1901 Census and was buried on 13 April in Swinton. He was aged 6 months and of Fitzwilliam Street. (APR) This agrees with a GRO index entry. (GRO ref Rotherham 9c 412 Jun 1901 - [aged] 0)

2) Emily Ardron II (1902 -)

My 3rd cousin twice removed was born on 28 March 1902 and was baptised on 30 March of that year in Swinton. Her father was a miner of 52 Charles Street. (APR) The birth agrees with a GRO index entry. (GRO ref Rotherham 9c 829 Mar 1902) Though it should be noted that Paul Ardron IV has her date of birth as 27 February.

On the 1911 Census (2 April) she was aged 9, living with her parents at “South View”, Grimethorpe, Barnsley. (PRO ref RG14 ??) 

3) Annie Ardron (1903 -)

My 3rd cousin twice removed was born on 19 December 1903 and was then baptised on 17 January 1904 in Swinton. Her father was still a miner of 52 Charles Street. (APR) The birth agrees with a GRO index entry. (GRO ref Rotherham 9c 853 Mar 1904)

On the 1911 Census (2 April) she was aged 7, living with her parents at “South View”, Grimethorpe, Barnsley. (PRO ref RG14 ??)
