Arthur married Elsie Goddard at Mexborough Parish Church on 10 June 1919. He was a motor driver, aged 23 and she was also aged 23. Arthur was resident at 8 Station Street, Swinton and Elsie was of 16 Schofield Close, Mexborough. His father was George Ardron (deceased). Elsie's father was William Goddard, a miner. She was born on 28 May 1895 at Schofield Street, Mexborough. Her parents were William and Clara (nee Elridge) Goddard. Her father was a miner. (GRO cert Dean Ardron + GRO ref Doncaster 9c 793 Sep 1895)

On the 1901 Census (31 March) she was living with her parents at 16 Schofield Street, Mexborough:

He married Sarah Lillian (Bell?), otherwise known as Sally. (Dean Ardron + Darren Ardron) GRO REF??

He died on 27 May 1981 and is buried at Swinton. He was aged 61. (MI Dean Ardron + GRO ref Rotherham 3 861 Jun 1981 - [born] 31 De 1919)

George made his last will on 19 July 1980 and appointed his wife Sarah Lilian as executor to who he left all his worldly goods. In the event of his wife "passing on" before him he named Frank Ardron of 3 Rysdale, Kirkheaton, Huddersfield his executor and beneficiary [likely to be his younger brother, Frank Ardron II].
