Albert married Harriet Swift on 30 March 1897 at the Parish Church of Brampton Bierlow, in the County of York by Banns. He was aged 27 and a miner of Swinton. His father was also a miner. Harriet was aged 29 and of West Melton. Her father was William Swift, a blacksmith. Witnesses were William Swift and Alice Ardron [his sister].
