    1.	Emanuel1 Buck (alias Enoch, Christian), b. 1623 in Norfolk, England. He emigrated to New England on the ship "Blessing" in 1635 and settled in the new colony of Wethersfield CT. He m. [1] 1645, Sarah Ryley sister of John, in Wethersfield, CT;  Children:

(son of Job Gould of New Milford) b. 1687, d. 1729, m. 1706 Abigail 
Disbrow d. 1714. William Gould was a millwright, first at Milford, 
then New Milford 1717. Abigail was perhaps the sister of Thomas 
Disbrow.          Children:

dau. of John Andrews.

    6.      ii. Lemuel Buck b. 6 Sep 1732, m. 27 Aug 1755 Bethiah
McEwen. "Lived at New Milford at beginning of Revolutionary War. 
Because of loyalty, deprived of all property and fined for his and
his sons' refusal to join rebels. Obliged to purchase liberty and,
having some land in Arlington VT, removed there with family, where 
he was further fined for loyalty; has one son in King's service.
Memorial 4 Mar 1786 Arlington. Claim: Real estate; cost of fines;
7 days imprisonment. Evidences: Summons 24 Apr 1776 New Milford
for claimant to appear and give reasons why he should not be
advertised as an enemy. Deposition 28 Feb 1786 Arlington by Gideon 
Brownson, Zadock Hard, and Nathan Canfield that they have known
claimant since beginning of war, and he was a sufferer for loyalty.
Deposition 3 Mar 1786 Arlington by Ebenezer Picket and William Imus
that they lived in CT at beginning of war, and know claimant was
obliged to convey his lands there to the State and purchase liberty. 
Certificate by James Nicholas, vicar of English church in 
Arlington, that he has known claimant 2 years, and he is an officer
of the church. Certificate 30 Apr 1776 Arlington by Capt Ebenezer 
Wallis that claimant was drafted for 7 month expedition and has 
paid fine. Copy of resolution by Committee of Milford 5 Aug 1776 
appointing Angus Nickolson to superintend claimant's property.
