Christopher & Elizabeth (Hank) Schwiderski (1906) (MAP)
Chris and Elizabeth married on February 6th, 1906. Thet move to a farm which they rented in Bennington Township, Marshall County Illinois about a mile south of Toluca, Illinois.
About a year after their marriage, Chris and Elizabeth hire her younger brother, Joseph Henry, now age 14, to help with the farm work.
Daughter Agnes is born December 27th, 1907.
Daughter Beatrice is born on October 8th, 1909.
Elizabeth's brother Henry leaves their employment for a new job in Moline.
The 1910 Federal Census show Chris (25) and Elizabeth (24) to be living on the farm with two young daughters, Agnes (3) and Beatrice (6 months). Also living in the household is Anna (12), a younger sister of Elizabeth, who is in their care.
During the winter of 1911-1912, Chris moves the family west to a little town called Varina, in Dover Township, Pocahontas County, Iowa. Elizabeth's brother, Joseph Henry, having recently returned to Henry from Moline, Illinois, tells of following them to Varina by stowing away on the train among the farm equipment. They hired him for another year to help with the farm work after their regular hand gets sick and returns to Henry.
Daughter Mildred is born on the farm in Varina on August 31st, 1913.
