A Ghost Town of its former self.
Village
Bryant was named for Sherburn M. Bryant of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He owned most of the farm and lumber land in the area.
Village was located on the Wolf River Branch of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad.
The entire village of Bryant was destroyed by a grass/forest wind-swept fire on May 20, 1893.
Bryant had a post office from 1884 until 1997.
