Location is in section 22 on the east end of Moose Lake approximately where the Red River crosses County Highway "S." Nearest intersection is County Highway "S" and Riverside Road.

In 1878 Henry Mitchell, Sr. and Ross Young Sr. came from Menasha and started a saw mill on the east end of what is now known as Moose Lake.
Moose Lake was at first called Mitchell Lake after Henry Mitchell. The saw mill was also called Mitchell's Mill.
In 1879 Charles W. Moss came from Neenah and started a store which operated from 1879 until 1881.
