- Village
- Location is in section 22 on the east end of Moose Lake approximately where the Red River crosses County Highway "S." Nearest intersection is County Highway "S" and Riverside Road.
- Named Rose after ? daughter of ?
- In 1878 Henry Mitchell, Sr. and Ross Young Sr. came from Menasha and started a saw mill on the east end of what is now known as Moose Lake.
- Moose Lake was at first called Mitchell Lake after Henry Mitchell. The saw mill was also called Mitchell's Mill.
- In 1879 Charles W. Moss came from Neenah and started a store which operated from 1879 until 1881.
- Rose had a post office from 1880 until 1881.
