The Family of Angela Sturgeon Walling

My name is Angela Jo (Sturgeon) Walling. I am very interested in my family history and enjoy tracing my ancestors as far back as possible. Some of the surnames in my family include:

STURGEON, TIGERT, TURNBULL, ADAMS, WEST, NIX, GREEN, AUSTIN, TAYLOR, BRACKEEN/BRACKENE, DAVIS, CASEBOLT, MOFFIT, WHITE, RAINES, BEACH, FREEMAN, TRIMBLE, LEMONS, KIDD, HUTCHINSON, MANLEY/MANLY.

I have also done some research on my husband, Donald's, family. Some of his family surnames include:

WALLING, WHITTEN, YARBROUGH, PARTRIDGE, VOSS, McNEILL, KELLAR, GIST, PARTRIDGE, STEPHENS, PACE, WINGO, HILL, FORE, BEAUCHAMP, FULLER, LATTA, WINGO, LEATHAN.

 I have found a lot of distant cousins from all over the country while researching my family history, and it's always fun to find a new one and find out what common ancestor we descend from.

What's even funner is when someone sends you a photo of a relative you've never seen before. WOW ! That is so exciting ! Here you are, typing in the names of these people, maybe your great or great great grandparents, there's a name but that's all. You wonder ............. I wonder what this person looked like. I wonder how they dressed. you wonder and wonder and wonder. THEN, out of the blue, someone makes that connection, realizes you are kin, and emails you an old photo of one of your ancestors. I love that !

I saw a plaque one time that said:

A Family Tree Can Wither If Nobody Tends It's Roots !

That is so true!
