He married Mariah Evans. Children of this marriage were:David, Annie, William, Edward, Anna, Hugh, Thomas, & Elizabeth. Thomas and Annie are the only two know to have come to the US. Lattanzi) Subject: ANDREWS/ANDREW 1857  Date: Jan 97 I just received my great great grandfathers birth certificate from Scotland. It lists his, & his parents, name as ANDREW, & not ANDREWS. On his Naturalization certificate in the US he is listed as ANDREWS. When he came to the US he did not go through immigration, he worked on a steamer & just came in to port (as far as I know). Also I found a relative in Scotland whose names is ANDREWS. I seem to be in a pickle. Robert Edgar Anderson was born c.1831 in Bolton,Lancashire, England Father:William Anderson (a farmer) and Parthenia ROBINSON. He migrated to Victoria, Australia where he married Mary Anne Lavinia CAMPBELL in Donnybrook, Vic. in 1856. (She was born c.1832 in Stoneham, Devon, England)  Their children included William James Anderson, Robert John Anderson, Catherine Elizabeth Anderson, Mary Ann Lavinia Anderson, Julia Matilda Anderson (who married Henry Alfred RIGG 1891) Louisa Henrietta Anderson and at least two more.. Ander Petersson(b 1816) the farthest back I have is the start of the Andersson Patrynomic name. Everyone down from him has the surname Anders(s)on. His son was Anders Gustaf(1851) followed by Axel Valfrid(1892) who came to the US in 1911. They were in Bjorsater Sweden. I would appreciate any help especially pointers in researching the names as the change from father to child. The second group of Anderson's are of Scot descent. Alexander Anderson(b 1760) in Perthshire Scotland. His son Alexander married Catherine Kennedy. Their son Duncan (1823) was born in Ontario Canada and married to Ann Jane Rutherford.
