Origin and Meaning of the name Valentine
If anyone knows a possible origin or meanning of the surname Valentine I would be interested in hearing from them.
My connection to the Valentine Family, who were farmers in Wrightington, Lancashire, is that Bill Valentine was my paternal grandmother's uncle. My father was born and lived his early childhood on Bill and Polly Valentine's farm; Boggart House, High Moor, Wrightington.
My aim here would be to find out anything I can about the Valentine family, and in particular the parents, brothers and sisters of Bill Valentine.

Bill Valentine of Boggart House, Wrightington
Bill Valentine married Polly Turner (b. 1879) my grandmother's aunt. They lived at Boggart House, High Moor Wrightington. My grandfather, Jack Pearson came from Storth in Westmorland to work as a labourer on the farm and here he met and married my grandmother May Anderton in 1930. My grandparents lived and worked at Boggart House throughout the 1930's and my father was born and brought up here.
