PERSONAL OBSERVATION: if marriage and/or birth records can substantiate that this family is that of Mary Elizabeth Pfalzgraf and ? Black, the children's names can than be entered into the database. At this time [05.25.2001], the only indication that it is valid information are (1) the surname of Mary Pfalzgraf's husband; (2) the birth year of Mary Elizabeth Pfalzgraf was 1883; and (3) the birth location of Mary Pfalzgraf's father and the father of Elizabeth Black is the same. However, the birth location of the mother DOES NOT coincide [BUT DOES IN THE RECORD FOR THE CENSUS YEAR 1920].

Subsequent research confirms that this census record of 1910 is a record of Mary Pfalzgraf, daughter of William and Mary nee Wittenbrere Pfalzgraf. A delayed certificate of birth dated November 21, 1955 - #101997 - was found in the records of La Salle County, Illinois, County Clerk. That birth record shows that the birth of Susanna Pfalzgraf, born to William and Mary nee Wittenbrere Pfalsgraf, was supported by an affidavit of a sister, Mary Elizabeth Pfalzgraf BLACK.

The son that is named Walter in the 1910 census is recorded as Wilbur in the 1920 census.
