PERSONAL OBSERVATION: enough evidence exists to prove that James O'Neil
had three siblings alive at the time of the death of their father,
Edward O' Neil. The major problem that arises is with respect to the
birth year of James and his sister, Mary Maria O'Neil. Records show
a conflict: they record the birth of James in August of 1866 (except
the census data of 1910) and the birth of his sister on October 27,
1866. Perhaps the death certificate of James O'Neil could resolve
the issue.
