And at nearby 621 Center Street lived the family of Isabella's parents, William and Augusta nee Lemke Geihler. Her paternal grandfather, Frederick, lived with William, his son-in-law.

PERSONAL OBSERVATION: these census records indicate that Charles Hisler, born in Illinois of French parents, was married twice. The marriage return for Charles Hisler and Annie Reeder indicated that the wedding was the first for both. Rather confusingly, the marriage return for Charles Hisler and Edith Goetz indicated that their wedding was also the first for both. ALL OTHER INFORMATION about the groom mentioned in both these marriage returns IS IN AGREEMENT.
