Pioneer Donald Morrison was born in Ghrodhaig, Harris, Scotland circa. 1808.   He passed away March 16, 1867 in Cape North, Victoria County, Nova Scotia.  He married Effie MacKinnon circa. 1837 in Harris, Scotland.  Effie was the daughter of Pioneer Malcolm MacKinnon and Kirsty MacDonald. They had the followin children:

  • John Morrison, born December 20, 1838 in Scotland, died in Cape North, Nova Scotia.
  • Christina Morrison, born 1841 in Scotland, died March 1869 in North Aspy, Nova Scotia.
  • Malcolm Morrison, born 1843 in Cape North, Nova Scotia.
  • Roderick Morrison, born August 8, 1844 in Cape North, Nova Scotia, died in Cape North.
  • Catherine Morrison, born 1847 in Cape North, Nova Scotia, died in Cape North.
  • Mary Morrison, born in Cape North, Nova Scotia.
  • Isabella Morrison, born 1851.
  • Margaret Morrison, born in Cape North, Nova Scotia.
  • Angus Morrison, Born 1855 in North Aspy, died in Canada West.

    John Morrison (Donald) married Ephemia Kerr in Cape North, Victoria County, Nova Scotia.  Ephemia was the daughter of Alexander Kerr and Barbara MacLeod. They had the following children:

  • Euphemia Morrison, born June 18, 1867 in North Aspy, died January 9, 1946 in Aspy Bay.
  • Barbara Morrison, born August 3, 1868, died April 17, 1927. Married John Morrison.
  • Donald Morrison, born 1871 in Aspy Bay, Nova Scotia, Died in the USA.
  • Peter Morrison, born December 10, 1872/3 in Aspy Bay, NS, married Mary MacLeod.
  • Malcolm Morrison, born July 20, 1874 in Cape North, NS, died in Cape North, NS.
  • Alexander Morrison, born 1876 in Cape North, died in between 1896-1906.
  • Angus Morrison, born June 6, 1878 in Cape North, died February 6, 1928 in Cape North.
  • Christina Morrison, born March 12, 1881 in Cape North, died in Maine, USA. Married Eugene Bartlett.
  • Norman K. Morrison, born December 17, 1888 in Cape North, died December 3, 1951 in Cape North.

    Euphemia Morrison (John, Donald) married Joseph Gwinn in Aspy Bay, NS.  He was the son of James Gwinn and Sarah Morrison.  They had the following children:

    Norman Morrison (John, Donald) married Julia Brown.  She was the daughter of John Brown and Sara Jane Burton.  They had five children.

    William A. Morrison (Roderick, Donald) married first wife Katherine Ann Morrison 1915 in North Sydney, NS. They had two childen.  He married second wife Anne Victoria MacDonald April 21, 1927.  She was the daughter of Alexander MacDonald and Henriette Rambeau. 

    Effie A. Morrison (Roderick, Donald) married Milton White.  They had four children.

    Margaret Morrison (Roderick, Donald) married David Forrester in Boston, USA. They had three children.

    Isabella Morrison (Roderick, Donald) married Lloyd MacGowen in Boston, USA. They had three children.

    Catherine R. Morrison (Roderick, Donald) married John Tubman. They had two children.

    Effie Ann Morrison (Margaret, Donald) married George Burton in Cape North, son of William Burton and Margaret MacPherson. They had twelve childen together.
