    Harman Lance, son of John and Anna Margaret Lance
was born in 1757.  He married Elizabeth and lived on the
Lindaberry place near Cokesburg, N. J. He had children:
Peter, see family of Peter Lance (E231); Anna Margaret,
born Mar. 9, 1780, married Felix Hoover; Maria, born Mar.
16, 1781; Sarah, born Sept. 22, 1786; John, born Feb. 15,
1788, married twice; Jacob, born May 12, 1789; Andrew,
married three times; Joshua, married Mary Jones and had
two girls; Henry, married Polly Force; William, see family
of William Lance (E23a); Elizabeth; and Catherine.

    Peter Lance, son of John and Anna Margaret Lance
was born in 1756.  He married Annie Hoffman.  He died in
1823.  His children: John P, see family of John P. Lance
(E241) ; Elsie Catherine, see family of Elsie Catherine Wal-
ters (E242); William, born May 26, 1788, died Aug. 26,
1876, married Mary Anthone; Frederick, married Mary
Beatty; Mary Elizabeth, see family of Mary Elizabeth Wal-
ters (E245); Margaret, married Peter Bunn.

         E25          Anthony Lance              E2

    Anthony Lance, son of John and Anna Margaret Lance
died before 1838.  He had children: John and Jacob.

         E31           Herbert Lance             E3

    Herbert Lance, son of John Peter Lance lived near
Cokesburg, N. J. He married Margaret Apgar, and had
children: Elizabeth, see family of Elizabeth L. Hoffman
(E311); Anne, born Mar. 8, 1781, unmarried; Peter, mar-
ried Elizabeth Dilley; William, see family of William Lance
(E314); Catherine, see family of Catherine Schuyler
(E315); Marien, see family of Mitrien L. Read (E316);
George, see family of George Lance (E317); Jacob, died
young.

    Peter Lance, son of John Peter Lance had the following
children: Herbert, died young; Catherine, unmarried; and
William, married Sarah Conover.
