B41 John Lantz B4 John Lantz, son of Samuel and Elizabeth (King) Lantz was born Jan. 15, 1779 in Heidelberg Township, Berks Co., Pa. His father died when he was about four years old and his mother took him to Lancaster County. He married Madeline Steeley, of Berks County, who died leaving no chil- dren. In the meantime they had moved to Mifflin County. Here he married Anna Glick and had a large family. His wife died and was buried in the Amish Cemetery near Allensville, Pa. He then moved to Juniata County where he died in 1862 and is buried in a private Lantz cemetery near Thompsontown, Pa. His children are: Elizabeth, see family of Elizabeth L. Pfaler (B419) ; and Christian, see family of Christian Lantz (B41a) B42 Samuel Lantz B4 Samuel Lantz, son of Samuel and Elizabeth (King) Lantz was born July 8, 1781 in Heidelberg Township, Berks Co., Pa. Upon the death of his father, his mother took him to Lancaster County where he grew up and married Magda- lina Fisher. In 1804, he bought a farm in Leacock Township from Andrew Eby for 2369.f.
