OUR WILKEY GENEALOGY PAGES
John Alden (1599-1687) was the 8th great-grandfather
of Virgil Wadsworth Wilkey (1906-1985). Virgil was Tim's maternal grandfather.
Click
here to see the lineage. John Alden came over on the Mayflower in 1620
and married Priscilla Mullins, another Mayflower passenger, after they
reached America. John and Priscilla Mullins have the most descendants of
any of the Mayflower passengers. Their gravestones were erected long after
their deaths at the approximate spots where they were supposed to have
been buried. Click here to visit the homepage of the
Alden
Kindred of America for more information on the lineage of John Alden.

Caleb
Johnson's MayflowerHistory.com. Beware of genealogical fraud! There
is a list of common Mayflower genealogical hoaxes at
False and Faked Mayflower Genealogy. A good book to read on John Alden is:
Edited by L. M. Kellogg and others. Mayflower families through
five generations: descendants of the Pilgrims who landed at Plymouth, Mass.,
December 1620. (Vol. 16 Part 1 John Alden). Plymouth, MA: General Society
of Mayflower Descendants, 1999.

Abigail Soule was the 3rd great-granddaughter
of John Alden. She married Elijah Curtis. There seemed to be two gravestones
for Elijah Curtis, so I wonder if the second one was for his wife, but
the gravestones are extremely hard to read.
