Will of Henry Glasgo
probated 7 February 1849, Johnson Co., Indiana
I, Henry Glasgo of Johnson
County and State of Indiana do make and publish this my last will and
testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any
time heretofore made. First I direct that my body be decently interred and
that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and
situation in life and as to such worldly estate as it has pleased God to
in trust me with, I dispose of the same in the following manner to wit--
I direct first that all my just
debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as
possible--Further I do order and direct that my daughters Elizabeth
Herrall, Sidney Street, and Cassey Biddle, each are to
have seventy five dollars out of the proceeds of my estate--
I do also order and direct that my
son Stephen have out of the proceeds of my estate five dollars.
I also order and direct that the
remainder of my estate be equally divided share and share alike between my
sons Presly Glasgo, Artilian Glasgo and my daughter
Lewcretia Glasgo together with the following parsels [sic] on peace
[sic] of land... URT[?] The East half of the south east quarter of section
fourteen Town ??? ranges and also twenty acres of the west half of the
south west quarter of section fifteen of the same town and range.
In ??? whereof I Henry Glasgo
the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this Fourteenth[?] day of
September in the year of our lord Eighteen hundred and fourty [sic] seven.
