Healton/Helton Family History
I am a little confused on my Healton/Helton
ancestors. What I do know is that Abraham Christopher Helton born
about 1770 died between 1808-1861, was my 5th great grandfather. He was
married to Rebecca Vestal on 30 October 1801 in Surry County, North
Carolina. There are many family trees online, but several have conflicting
information, especially on dates and generations.
It is presumed that A.C. Helton was the son of
Abraham Helton who was the son of Peter Helton. However, some
trees show an extra Peter or no Abraham. Without
documentation, I can not safely say what the correct ancestry may be.
