ELECTION DAY    September 6, 1886

Daileyville had a general store, a grist mill, possibly a cotton gin, and several houses.   It was very near Wofford's Crossing.

Sheriff I. L. Fate Elder      35 - was killed.    His cartridges mis-fired.
Deputy James Bud Elder  24 - was killed.    He emptied his revolver.
Deputy Jack Bailey  - shot & died.
Hiram Pullin   58       - shot & died.
Henry Pullin   68       - was killed.
