This list was compiled from various sources including various filmed indexes to compiled service records, actual service records of soldiers, pension application records, etc. Most records consulted were located at the NATIONAL ARCHIVES in Washington, D.C.
Sources are noted and pension record application numbers are listed. Copies of these records can be ordered from the National Archives using NATF Form 80, which can be requested from the National Archives and Records Administration, 8th and Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, D.C. 20408.
There is a charge for copying files. Minimum is $10.00. Personnel at the National Archives will copy only those sheets determined to be of value, unless you specify that you want all pages from each file copied (an extra charge applies).
PLEASE NOTE: Some pension files are well over a hundred pages and under those circumstances National Archives personnel will not copy the entire file.
