Lochridge Family of Monroe Co. MS and Marion County, AL

Thomas Weems Lochridge, Sr. was born in South Carolina in 1770. At one time he was Justice of the Peace in Jefferson County, AL. We find him in the records of that county officiating in that capacity in the marriages of :
Edward Ware and Olive Self ; 2 November 1820
Alexander Tucker and Hannah Hall ; 5 December 1820
Willis West and Mary Buchannan; 18 February 1825

and in the estate sale of Solomon Henson, 17 November 1821.

Syntha Lochridge, daughter of Thomas Weems Lochridge married Eli Reid in Jefferson County, AL on 17 January 1819; # 27, recorded on page 152 of the Jefferson County Marriage Records.

Thomas Weems Lochridge and Eli Reid were in Monroe County, MS in the 1830 census on page 140. By 1840, they were in Marion County, AL. and lived there until their deaths.
