This site has two objectives. First, to try to verify roots of Alsops in the Early Years.
Second is to identify the Alsip/Alsop/Alsups, etc. listed in various recent Death Indexes.
The following information was attained through research The items in Red are personal observations that do not appear in records and may or may not be correct. The Jerry referred to in the comments is Jerry D. Alsup, author of Alsop's Tables. For comments or questions E-mail David Alsup, Reba Alsup, Jerry Alsup or Henry Conor @ "Keeper of the Flame". This part of the site contains records that (Alsop/Alsup researchers) have found over a period of many years in an attempt to sort out the various Alsop/Alsup families to connect children and parents. Any records with other surnames will show related persons (ie. marriages). We are targeting those ancestors mostly in Virginia and Kentucky, plus other Alsop/Alsup unknowns in areas that might link back.
Data on Alsops/Alsups can be found (by county) at the Virginia page, and the Kentucky page, and the Alsop Unknowns page. Included may be some related surnames of our lost Alsop/Alsup/Alsip, etc. ancestors from those areas.
Virginia County Maps/Formations include:
| Accomack | Caroline | Culpeper | Fauquier |
| Halifax | Henry | King George | Fincastle/Montgomery | Pittsylvania | Spotsylvania | Stafford | Westmoreland |
