Cherry, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, 19 May in Gene Roden 'Sons Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Jimmye Newman will officiate and burial will be in McDonald Cemetery. Mr. York died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. York is survived by his wife, Beulah, three brothers, Andrew York of Cleburne, Sam York of May Peral, and Elmer York of Paris.'

Funeral services were held Friday, 1 Nov 1985, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Taylor officiating. Burial was in McDonald Cemetery. Mrs. York was born on 5 May 1906, in Howland, a daughter of Charles and Ella Mae Rasberry. She married Ray York in December 1947. He preceded here in death in 1983. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Midway. Survivors include one brother, Ross Rasberry of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Elmer York of Paris; and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Ellas Mae King and Mary Lee Montgomery, preceded her in death.' *Buried next to Alfred Roy York.

He worked for Texas Power and Light Co., and was retired from Delmar Independent School District maintenance department. He was a farmer. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Mickey York of Commerce and Charles York of Lewisville; two daughters, Dorothy Newberry of Paris and Pat Hollje of Paris; one brother, Sam York of Maypearl; six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.'

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a former member of Dallas Eastern Star and Woodmen's Circle. She married H. [Harris] Leslie York March 25, 1920. He died Nov. 30, 1922. Surviving are a son, Leslie E. York of McAllen; two grandsons, David York of Dallas and Ben York of Paris; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.' *Tombstone is inscribed, 'Evelyn York.'
