We drove to a cabin near Crater Lake the evening of September 24. We stayed in the cabin and explored the region until the morning of September 27. We had tickets to an Ashland Shakespear Festival play, so we drove on over to Ashland, spending an evening there. On the 28th we leisurely headed home, sneaking home in the night for one peaceful night at home before "everyday" begun....

The lake was Blue Glass,
so clear it was disorienting,
looking "down" into the clouds in the
amazingly deep blue sky.

The wind came up suddenly. Instantly the surface of the lake turned from glass to deep blue swirls.

On the morning of the 27th we packed our bags and drove Hwy 62 towards Ashland for Romeo and Juliet. Driving out of Crater Lake National Park we passed through Rogue River National Forest. We pulled over at a pullout. Amazing!
