Last will and testament of Joseph McCoy of Barren Count, Kentucky

I Joseph McCoy of the County of Barren and State of Kentucky feeling that the time allotted to me on this earth is drawing near a close-I hereby make and publish this my last will and testament.
After first commending my soul to God who gave it I dispose of my earthly effects in the following manner
It is my will that my wife Lucy and my three little children Eva McCoy, Pearl McCoy and Jesse B. McCoy be provided with a means of support.
I hereby will and bequeath to them all of my estate laying on the Smith side of the Lick Branch road also they are to have part of the field-from the orchard on the north side of said Lick Branch road for the next three or four years. Also it is my will that Lucy and the three children above named have the right to get fire wood from the timber in front of the house on the north side of the road for three or four years.
I will and bequeath all my real estate laying on the north side of the Lick Branch Road to the children of Selina E. McCoy my first wife except the right above given to Lucy McCoy and the three children above named to get fruit from the orchard and fire wood from the timber on the north side of the road above named. It is my will that the land on the north side of the road be sold as soon as they can eventually sell.
I also reserve the first field a clear field north of the house for Lucy McCoy to cultivate next year 1908 and the costs of my last-sickness is to be paid consisting from the sale of the land on the north side of the road.
Now having disposed of my earthly effects I hereby appoint my son Joe G. McCoy admin of this my last will and testament without bond or security.
Given under my hand the 26th day of March 1907.

I Joseph McCoy having previous to the present date executed my will and will in addition to what is set forth first in said will. I now reserve three trees on the north side of the Lick Branch road-the said being the land willed to my first wifes children said trees are researved to make boards to repair the buildings on the south side of said road that I willed to my last wife and children.
