By 1900 the children and grandchildren of George Mauk are scattered, and not all of them have been located. Two of his three children live adjacent to second “spouse” Eliza in Mitchell County Kansas. Jesse, a son born to Elizabeth Shipley has passed away, and widow Susan resides in Republic County Kansas with the four children whom we know to have lived to adulthood, one married and living next door to her.
Of the other children for whom we have death records John S. and Malinda, children with George’s first wife Elizabeth Shipley, have passed away, their families living on in Barren and Metcalfe counties in Kentucky.
Benjamin and his family, many of whom have married and established their own families, reside in Linn County Kansas.
